About this flight

I flew Business Class on ANA from Haneda to Honolulu, Hawaii.

At the ANA Suite Lounge in Haneda, I dined at the full-service restaurant “Dining h,” which opens at 7:30 p.m. I enjoyed a Japanese set meal, hot and sour noodle soup, sukiyaki, and even a parfait.

Onboard, I was treated to a delicious dinner as well as breakfast before landing.

Buffet

ビュッフェ

Here are some of the dishes I enjoyed at the ANA Suite Lounge. I tried a variety of items.

  • • Four kinds of cakes
  • • Cheese and ham
  • • Cherry tomatoes, ratatouille, sautéed chicken, lotus root, and more
  • • Spinach and fried tofu in broth
  • • Pickled herring
  • • Champagne and red wine

Dining h

At that time, the ANA Suite Lounge featured a restaurant called “Dining h,” which opened at 7:30 p.m.

Before 7:30, food was available at the buffet counter, but after that time, guests could enjoy a sit-down restaurant-style service like this. The service was suspended during the pandemic and has not resumed as “Dining h” since then.

Japanese Dish

和食の逸品

This was the first dish I was served at “Dining h.” A beautifully prepared Japanese dish featuring scallops and shishito peppers.

The presentation on a leaf added a refined touch.

Hot and Sour Noodles

スーラータンメン

This is hot and sour noodle soup (Sura-tanmen). It was very delicious and considered a signature dish at this restaurant, with flavors reminiscent of authentic Chinese cuisine.

Bread is also served in the background, baked in-house by ANA and quite tasty.

Sukiyaki

すき焼き

This sukiyaki was incredibly delicious. Tender wagyu beef was simmered together with green onions, enoki mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, and tofu.

It was served with a soft-boiled egg.

Parfait

パフェ

The dessert parfait. Up until around 2012, this parfait was served as dessert in Business Class on international flights, and it could be enjoyed here at the restaurant.

It likely included coffee jelly, three flavors of ice cream (vanilla, matcha, and mango), and whipped cream.
