About this flight
This is a flight review of ANA’s inaugural flight from Haneda to Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia.
At the boarding gate, the staff members wore traditional *happi* coats to welcome passengers and see them off at boarding. As a commemorative gift, I received an ANA model airplane.

Arriving at Haneda 8 Hours Before Departure
The inaugural flight to Kuala Lumpur was scheduled to depart just after midnight, but I arrived at Haneda Airport around 4:00 PM.
I was so excited that I wanted to get to the airport well ahead of time.

Meal in the Lounge
I had dinner at the ANA Business Class Lounge.

Preparation of Commemorative Gifts
This is the scene at the boarding gate for the inaugural flight to Kuala Lumpur.
In the back, ANA staff members were working, most likely preparing bags containing commemorative gifts. On this occasion, I received an ANA model airplane as a keepsake.
Inaugural Flight Celebration
Since this was the inaugural flight, the staff welcomed us wearing traditional happi coats. An announcement was also made, stating that “This flight to Kuala Lumpur is the inaugural service.”

After boarding the aircraft and while taxiing from the apron to the runway, I could see the maintenance area at Haneda Airport.
