About this flight
This is my business class flight report on Malaysia Airlines from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur (the capital of Malaysia), which I took in May 2016.
The flight time was about 50 minutes. Although it was a short-haul flight, an in-flight meal was served — Malaysian “Satay Ayam” (grilled chicken skewers).

Meal I Had
This is the meal I had in the lounge at Singapore Changi Airport.
- • Vegetable salad and sausage
- • Clam chowder, I believe
Walk Inside the Airport
I took a short walk inside Singapore Changi International Airport.

Business Class Cabin

The Malaysia Airlines cabin crew uniform resembles that of Singapore Airlines slightly — a traditional outfit called the “sarong kebaya.” It looks beautiful.
Welcome Drink
I had an orange juice as the welcome drink.

In-flight Meal
This is the in-flight meal.
- • Satay Ayam (similar to yakitori in Japan)
- Served with taro
- • Coffee
- • Chocolate
The flight time was only about 50 minutes, but a proper meal was served. Since the flight departed at 11:15 a.m., it made for a nice lunch.
Main Dish of the In-flight Meal
This is the main dish of the Satay Ayam.
(Editor’s note)
The sauce is made with onions, ginger, and lemongrass as the base, combined with sweet-and-sour tamarind — a Southeast Asian fruit — along with peanuts.
