About this flight
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines operates flights between Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta, as well as between Singapore and Jakarta. Although these routes are short in duration, they offer aviation enthusiasts the rare opportunity to experience the highest level of long-haul business class products and services on a brief flight.
These routes have unfortunately been suspended since the COVID-19 pandemic, but we hope to see them resume soon. (Note: KLM does not offer a First Class cabin.)
This is a flight report of my journey on KLM Royal Dutch Airlines Business Class from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Jakarta, Indonesia—an approximately two-hour flight.
At Kuala Lumpur International Airport, I had access to the Malaysia Airlines “Golden Lounge.”
For this flight, I selected a low-fat meal as my in-flight meal option.

Low-Fat Meal

This is the business class in-flight meal. For this flight, I had pre-ordered a low-fat meal.
Main Dish

The main dish consisted of:
- • Grilled chicken
- • Potatoes and steamed vegetables (broccoli and carrots)
Salad and Fruits

A fresh salad and fruit plate was also served:
- Salad: Tuna, red bell pepper, lettuce, and more
- Fruits: Watermelon, mango, papaya, and kiwi
The fruits were beautifully arranged in a gradient style. The plate design had a traditional Dutch motif, matching the style of the placemat as well.
Bread

A low-fat bread roll accompanied the meal.

After the meal, I enjoyed:

Arrival at Soekarno-Hatta Terminal 2

We arrived safely in Jakarta. This photo was taken just after exiting the arrival gate. At that time, we arrived at Terminal 2 of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.
The Mizuho Bank sign was prominently displayed—interesting to see that Mizuho Bank operates in Indonesia as well.
