About this Stay
I stayed for two nights at the Grand Prince Hotel Hiroshima in November 2021. This hotel was used for the G7 Summit held in May 2023. This was actually my second stay. During my first visit, I was deeply moved by the divine energy emanating from Ujina Island in Hiroshima Bay, where the hotel is located. The island is home to Kanda Shrine, and perhaps this spiritual power comes from Miyajima and Itsukushima Shrine, which can be reached in just 26 minutes by high-speed ferry from the pier in front of the hotel. In the lobby on the first floor, there is a round pond with a small model of the torii gate of Miyajima floating on an island. This is why I chose to stay here again.
During my stay, I used the Club Lounge for afternoon tea time and dinner, and enjoyed a relaxing breakfast at the top-floor restaurant on the 23rd floor, which offers a wide variety of delicious dishes.
After checking out, I took the high-speed ferry to Miyajima and visited Itsukushima Shrine and the Five-storied Pagoda.
