About this flight
This time, I flew from Doha Hamad International Airport to Paris in Qatar Airways Business Class. Before boarding, I spent over a dozen hours in the massive Business Class lounge, taking photos of various scenes.

Arrival Lobby

This is the arrival lobby at Hamad International Airport in Doha. I had just arrived from Narita.
The World's Best Airline

This is a massive screen displayed in the arrival lobby at Hamad International Airport in Doha.
It’s a promotional display claiming that “Qatar Airways is a 5-star, world’s best airline.”
(This ranking is based on the annual airline service ratings by the UK-based Skytrax.)
Geometric Pattern ①

This is a landing halfway up the stairs to the departure level lounge.
It features Islamic geometric patterns. I believe these are referred to as arabesques.

An LCD screen displaying Arabic script is seamlessly integrated into a geometrically designed wall.
Giant Teddy Bear

This is the massive yellow teddy bear located at the center of the departure lobby level. Its head is stuck inside a lamp shade, and it’s known as the “Lamp Bear.”

This is the front view of the “Lamp Bear.” It’s enormous and makes quite an impression. I’m not sure what it’s meant to symbolize though.

My flight to Paris was scheduled to depart at night. By that time, the airport was bustling with many travelers like this.

This is what it looked like inside the boarding gate area. As part of COVID-19 measures, every other seat was blocked off and unavailable.

Reception

This is the reception area at the entrance of the Al Mourjan Business Lounge. It is available to Qatar Airways and oneworld alliance business class passengers.
Ramp

This ramp is located near the first area upon entering the lounge. It’s incredibly spacious, with a high ceiling and minimal pillars, creating an open and airy atmosphere.

It clearly shows where each facility is located, highlighting just how vast the lounge is.
Seating Area

This is one of the seating areas. It’s designed to accommodate groups of four.
Artificial Pond

This is a large artificial pond near the reception area of the lounge. I assume it represents an oasis in the desert.
While Dubai Airport (Emirates' hub) also has a water feature, this one is significantly larger.

Here’s another seating area featuring blue chairs, each with a tablet placed beside it.
The tall walls and ceiling overhead are truly impressive.

This seating area is softly illuminated with indirect lighting, creating a calm and relaxing atmosphere.

This photo was taken from the central seating area. There is plenty of space between seats, so even when it’s crowded, guests can relax comfortably.

This area is likely near the main lounge plaza. It’s arranged like tiered seating where guests can sit on different levels.

I moved to the nap area (sleeping area). The furniture you see below doubles as a bed. Even the coat hangers have a luxurious feel.

I sat in the seating area by the artificial pond and enjoyed a Diet Pepsi.
Each seat is equipped with a tablet where you can check flight information and the airport map.

If you walk to the far end of the main first-floor area, you’ll find the “Dining Resort” located on the same level as the lounge.

This is the beverage bar counter, mostly serving soft drinks. There’s a coffee machine on the left side.
The under-counter lighting adds a stylish touch.

Bread Corner

This is the light meal bread section. It offers individually packaged white bread along with jars of marmalade and jam.

In addition to the first-floor Dining Resort, there’s also a buffet-style dining area upstairs. I had breakfast on the second floor and dinner on the first floor.
Food Display Corner

This is another food section in the upstairs dining area. Since COVID-19 cases were still high at the time, meals were individually packaged and both chefs and guests wore masks.

This is the bread section on the second floor. A variety of bread such as rolls and croissants are displayed.
My Meal (Lunch)

- • Middle Eastern pâté, bread, and yogurt with strawberry jam

This is a business class seat. This seat has previously been rated as the best in the world in global airline service quality rankings.
